You are picked up at hotel in Can Tho downtown and head to Ben Tre province, the country’s largest producer of coconuts. Visit a broom handmade base to get a clear understanding how various useful brooms are made. It is a simple craft and so meaningful as coconut brings jobs to people in its region. Visit a coir factory to learn how natural coconut fibre extracted from the husk of coconut are processed to floor mats, doormats, brushes and mattresses.
Arriving at a lovely homestay in Ben Tre after more than 2 hour drive, we start biking through beautiful small village. Make a nice stop at coconut processing workshop. It is amazing to see how locals process coconut manually and how they use every parts of coconut fruits from skin, husk, white meat, water, etc. in their daily life. Get into the little ferry overlooking a large beautiful part of river with coconut trees along the bank. Come back to local homestay for having great lunch with delicious Mekong foods. You can help local family to preparing lunch as well. Join the fantastic Kayaking in magnificent jungle lined tributaries. Enjoy your great moments paddling and relaxing under the shade of coconut trees along the bank; immerse yourselves in a peaceful rural life of South Vietnam.
Travel back to Can Tho city and have dinner with local cuisine before you are dropped off at hotel at around 6:00 m depending on traffic. Optional travel back to Sai Gon, arrive at around 6:00 pm depending on the traffic.
