Day 1: 5:30 am get ready for Can Tho morning excursion on a boat

5:30 am your friendly guide picks you up at hotel then transport to the pier to board the boat for your morning excursion. The travel distance is 5kms by the river that takes you almost 40 minutes to reach there. Arriving at the biggest Cai Rang floating market by sampan, we tour around for catching up pretty images about the floating market at its trading time. Enjoy Vietnamese coffee and fruit at the floating market right on the boat.

After that our boat heads up to the main river for visiting the local noodle factory for learning the whole process of making rice noodles and you are able to make it by yourself too. After breakfast, the boat follows the main river and turns into little canals for discovering Mekong Delta through narrow rivers, water coconut trees, and a green environment.

Back to the house of local people to lunch with some Mekong Delta cuisine

2:00 pm travel to Chau Doc city, overnight stay at a beautiful and peaceful town

Minivan drives us straight to Chau Doc. The travel distance is 145km on roads. And it might take you almost 3 and a half hours to arrive there if there is no traffic jam. Arrive at around 5:00 pm to check in the hotel. Take a good rest and enjoy your stay at the standard hotel in this town.

Day 2: 8:00 am boat cruise on river to explore the unique cultures of Chau Doc city

Get up in the morning and take a deep breath to feel as local of this land. Enjoy your lovely breakfast at the hotel. 8:00 am, we depart for the boat trip.

Visit the charming Tra Su Forest

After that, we head straight to Tra Su forest. Immerse yourselves in the wonderful nature of forest with green duckweed on the water’s surface as well as flocks of birds that perch on cajuput together with other animals and fish. Firstly, we take the local speedy boat cruising along small channels then move to row sampan boat peacefully weaving in the middle of the forest.

The forest’s edge is quite silent while the inside is bustling and lively due to the poetic sounds of the bird’s world. What a fantastic feeling! From a high tower overlooking the forest, you can easily observe the daily activities of beautiful creatures here. Minivan & driver pick you up again and we depart for Long Xuyen city.

The beauty of Tra Su malaleuca forest

Have a warm lunch together at around 12:00 noon to experience the local cuisine here. Visit Long Xuyen crocodile farm which is home to thousands of crocodiles. Learn how people here bring them up and develop the business with them. Around 4:00 pm you are dropped off at hotel in Can Tho or 7:00 pm to be drop off in Sai Gon.
