Day 1: SAIGON-SA DEC-AN BINH ISLAND-CAN THO (L, D)
Sa Dec flower village
7:30 am our guide will pick you up at the hotel in Saigon and then depart for Mekong Delta. On the way, you will stop by the lovely town named Sa Dec to visit some of the famous local attractions here.
Visit the famous beautiful Sa Dec flower village where we will deeply understand how important flowers are in this religion.
Enjoying an excursion to Sa Dec Flower Village which is one of the attractive tourist attractions, you will surely admire a forest of flowers of all colors and aromas that are always available. Situated by the bank of the annually windy Tien River of fertility and sun, the flower village of Sa Dec is the homeland of hundreds of “uncanny flowers and strange herbs” such as simple trees close to the life of laborers as well as some scarce and priceless bonsai of hundreds of years old.
The home of Huynh Thuy Le
Coming back to L'Amant Street on the route to discover the Mekong Delta and Sa Dec Town, which is the home of Huynh Thuy Le – the main character in the famous novel called “The Lovers” written by his lover Marguerite Duras. This house combines Western and Eastern architecture and has been listed as one of Vietnam’s most impressive destinations by the Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations.
12:00 pm we will another city name Vinh Long, cruising to An Binh Island through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta.

Visit a traditional coconut candy workshop and rice popcorn workshop where they are holding traditional family techniques to produce their goods and trade them on the local market. Have a lovely lunch at the local restaurant.
5:00 pm Check-in and overnight at the Homestay/Resort located deep in the countryside of Can Tho City where enjoy the peaceful and rural atmosphere of a truly ecological and non-touristic place and have a lovely dinner in this beautiful homestay.
DAY 2: CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET-TRA SU-CHAU DOC (B, L, D)
Cai Rang floating market
6:30 am Depart to visit the Cai Rang floating market to explore the unique rural life of the biggest market in the Mekong Delta for your real experience of the early morning life of the Mekong Delta people. Enjoy the beautiful sunrise and have breakfast with a typical Vietnamese rice noodles soup and local coffee.
8:00 am Visit the noodles factory as well as visit the dragon fruit garden to taste the fresh fruit ripped on the trees.
Tra Su Forest in An Giang
9:00 am Depart for a great afternoon out to An Giang province to explore Tthe ra Su forest. Tra Su Forest in An Giang is the most beautiful destination in the Mekong Delta. The travel distance takes you almost a 3-hour drive to reach this most beautiful site which makes it a must-visit place once you set foot in the city. With 845 Ha of Cajuput trees in the forest, this area has become a Green-paradise world.
Take the local speed boat, cruising along small canals for relaxing and comfortable moments with the view that all of the trees are sunk deep in the water, creating a unique environment and urging you to discover this “sunken” forest.
From a high tower looking around the forest, all of the wildlife of the local creatures can be able to observed.
2:00 pm go-ahead to Chau Doc downtown, visit the traditional trading market, Sam Mountain, a Sacred and Holy place for Buddhists as well as some beautiful pagodas on the mountain which are usually about 2 centuries old and attract many believers every year.
5:00 pm back to the homestay and taste the delicious traditional Mekong Delta cuisine for dinner!
DAY 3: CAN THO – SOC TRANG – BAC LIEU (B, L, D)
Clay Pagoda
8:00 am Pick up at your homestay to depart for the Clay Pagoda in Soc Trang province.
The formal name Buu Son Tu, Chu Dat Set or Clay Pagoda which is located at the heart of Soc Trang, is one of the most famous destinations in this province. With the history of more than 200 years ago, this pagoda is now run by members of the Ngo family's fourth generation. Unassuming from the outside since it resembles more of a resident house than a pagoda, but it is highly unusual in that nearly every object inside is made entirely of clay. With four pairs of giant candles that weigh 200kg each burning before 1975 until now, made one of the well-known things for this pagoda.
Bat Pagoda in Soc Trang Province
9:30 am Visit Bat Pagoda to explore mysterious colors of the ancient temple in Soc Trang.
With a distance of about 4km from Soc Trang City. Chua Doi, Wat Mahatup or Bat Pagoda which was built around the 16th century is one of the oldest Buddhist temples in Kampuchea-Krom having first been built over 400 years ago.
The pagoda is home to huge century-old trees and about one million bats each of which is about 1kg in weight and with a wing span of 1m to 1.5m. When the bats were on the way to search for food, they made the bustling which people said was like an invocation of the blessing of the bats from the Buddha. The story about pigs with five hoofs for over 20 years also made this temple more attractive and mysterious.
10:30 Visit Pagoda of Decorative Bowls
Chen Kieu pagoda
The famous pagodas in Soc Trang are not only Clay Pagoda (Buu Son Tu) or Doi Pagoda..., but also Chen Kieu Pagoda.
This is the oldest temple in Soc Trang, built nearly 500 years ago. This temple is decorated with elaborate patterns with bright colors according to the Cham cultural style of the ancient Khmer. With thousands of bowls of all sizes attached to its roof, walls, and pillars, Chua Chen Kieu (Pagoda of Decorative Bowls) is a spectacular example of Khmer architecture.
11:30 have lunch at a beautiful local restaurant.
12:30 Depart for the House of Bac Lieu Dude – Must come place in Bac Lieu to deeply understand the myths behind the reputation of the mansion.
The mansion is associated with the anecdote of Bac Lieu Dandy Tran Trinh Huy and some stories about this infamous guy in the Southern province of Bac Lieu in the early 20th century. With an asset value is up to over 17 billion dollars, the house has a luxury color of white and splendid French architecture with a combination of Eastern and Western culture. All of the cast steel, marble, bricks, etc. were carved with the letter P which means ‘originating from Paris’ - the magnificent capital of France. The most prominent house in six Southern provinces at that time featured not only splendid architecture but also precious interior furniture with many different rare antiques.
This attractive house is difficult to ignore if visitors ever have an opportunity to visit Bac Lieu.
3:00 pm Visit the Bac Lieu wind farm
The Bac Lieu wind farm
Located in Vinh Trach Dong commune of Bac Lieu city, the Bac Lieu wind farm is one of the most attractive tourist destinations of the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu.
This place delivers clean wind electricity to the national power grid with a total of 62 wind turbines each one has a height of 80 meters and a weight more than 200 tones. This beautiful scene, as well as a spectacular tourist attraction, will bring new breath for those who have a chance to visit the Bac Lieu wind farm which considered as ‘the country of the windmill’ – distant Netherlands.
