DAY 1: SAIGON - CAI BE -  CRUISE (L, D)

7.30 am. Depart from your hotel in Sai Gon, we will bring you all the way to Cai Be to embark on the boat and start your cruise on the Mekong River. Around 10.30 am. Boarding at Cai Be. Welcome drink introduction to the ship and crew, check into the cabins. (Bonus visit Vinh Trang pagoda if the time is support).

Departure towards Cho Lach on the Tien Giang river. Lunch while en route. Rest on the deck. The cruise is slipped into the Chợ Lách canal, in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the river traffic, between markets and churches, a unique opportunity for a glimpse of the very varied life on the banks as well as on the water. By mid-afternoon, the Bassac casts anchor for a visit onshore. 

Be it on foot or by bicycle, be ready to discover a village in the delta while appreciating its peaceful scenery and life with simplicity. Boarding back, complimentary drink as a welcome back on board. Rest on the deck enjoying the sunset. The crew will serve dinner while the cruise is cruising the Mang Thit river. The cruise sets anchor just downstream from Tra On for the night.

DAY 2 TRA ON – CAN THO – COUNTRYSIDE (B, L, D)

The boat departs around 6 am towards Can Tho, and you will arrive near Ninh Kieu pier around 7.30 am, to embark on our local boat. Breakfast will be served on the boat. Start your day with a visit to Cai Rang Floating Market.

7.30 am. As you arrive, you will be astonished by the number of boats sailing around and trading a variety of products.

Enjoy a hot Vietnamese coffee prepared by some local sellers on their boats and delicious fresh fruit.

Don’t miss the local homemade rice noodle workshop and its amazing Noodle Pizza! There, you will learn to make traditional noodles, ready to give a hand?

10.30 am. Arrive at the luxury and authentic Homestay/Resort is located deep in the countryside surrounding Can Tho city. There, you will join a funny cooking activity with your host, and for sure, you will become a Chef! 

After an authentic and hearty lunch, get ready for some exercise!

Join the kayaking trip in magnificent jungle tributaries, and enjoy a relaxing moment paddling under the shade of coconut trees along the riverbank. 

Finally, get on your bike for the last ride, cycling through a picturesque village, to get an insight into how life goes in this part of the country and stop at a local Dragonfruit farm, to see how farmers’ life look like. 

Stay overnight in this peaceful Homestay/Resort, you will also have the opportunity to help the local family to prepare fabulous dishes from Mekong Delta and enjoy them for dinner in the peaceful atmosphere of our Homestay/Resort. 

Then, get a well-earned rest with all the comfort of a star hotel, and get ready for the next day! 

Day 3 CAN THO – PHONG DIEN – TRA SU – CHAU DOC (B,L,D)

5.30 am. Early wake-up, enjoy the local floating market in Phong Dien, and the peaceful and beautiful small canals.
You will arrive in Phong Dien, after an amazing boat trip (time is depending on the tide of the river, the boat trip can be a little shorter or longer). Now you are navigating through the small colorful boats, and our guide will explain to you more about the importance of this trading spot for the local people.
Hungry? Time for a typical breakfast at a lovely restaurant in a tower overlooking the market for you to get a better view of the area, and take some wonderful pictures.
After breakfast, re-embark in the boat to go along the small canals, lean back and enjoy the ride!
10.30 am, it is time for exploring the charming beauty of Tra Su Forest
Immerse yourself in the wonderful nature of forest with green duckweed on the water’s surface as well as flocks of birds perched on Cajuput, and other animals. First, we will take the local speedboat, cruising along small canals, and then we will embark on a traditional rowing Sampan, and we will go through the peaceful and mysterious forest. What a fantastic feeling!
From high towers overlooking the forest, you will be able to observe all the wildlife of this amazing place and watch all the local creatures come and go.
2.30 pm, Visit Chau Doc Market and Pagodas. After your lunch, go ahead to Chau Doc Downtown, to visit the traditional Trading Market, and experience lots of interesting things!
Besides that, your guide will give you more pieces of information about the amazing history of the region, and you will visit some of the most beautiful pagodas in the region! There you will have an amazing overview of the whole town and region.
5 pm, our driver will bring you to your hotel in Chau Doc, enjoy a good rest before your last day in Mekong Delta.

Day 4 CHAU DOC – PHNOM PENH (B)

Around 7:30 am. After breakfast at the hotel, you depart for Phnom Penh by the speed boat what takes you almost 6 hours to arrive in Phnom Penh. And you will have a visa application after 2 hours of arrive at the border check. Please prepare your 4 passport photos size and $35 USD in cash for the visa entry to Cambodia for a month. End your wonderful 4 Days Saigon Mekong Delta Phon Penh with a unique travel tour along with many incredible experiences and unforgettable memories.
